Complete Cleansing of the Intestines

Shanka Prakshalana evacuates the intestines and thoroughly cleanses the whole digestive system. This technique is practised in the morning on an empty stomach and, for the first three times, should definitely be practised under the guidance of a Yoga in Daily Life teacher.

Please Note: Due to the intensive nature of this technique, only existing Yoga in Daily Life practitioners are invited to apply and all particpants must be checked and approved by the teacher first. Shanka Prakshalana should not be practised by people under 15 years of age, nor during menstruation or pregnancy. It should be avoided by people with very low blood pressure, gastritis, ulcers, weak kidneys, large gallstones, kidney stones, chronic diabetes, hernia, or those with mental illness.
